The 7 Sevens
Starring Brad Carter and Kate Kovach
Ruckus and Lane Skye brought their vision and short film plus a 20 foot airstream to HallBrook Productions Studio for 3 day shoot. The film stars Brad Carter (True Detective, Sons of Anarchy, Ascension) and Kate Kovach in a drama-filled short that is based on ham radio operators, numbers stations, government spying and “the voice”. Both actors worked long and hard yet always retained that “whatever it takes to get it right” attitude.
This was a first for HallBrook Studios on many levels. First time an airstream trailer has been pulled inside the studio. First time we have seen the Red Epic Dragon on set. And the first time Anita has had to pull time on the weekend in many years! The entire crew worked tirelessly and the proof, as they say, is definitely on the screen.
And with the hazzer going for 3 days straight, the studio was in a fog….literally. But the effect and the lighting were spectacular.
Now in post production, The 7 Sevens is expected to be released early 2015. Check back soon for more information and the official trailer.
“The facilities and team at HallBrook Productions were nothing short of great and were instrumental in the success of our shoot. It was truly a pleasure to shoot there. Highly recommended!”

MSLGroup Atlanta this way comes…..
August came and went like a flash and so did our latest project. The month found us making new friends when the MSLgroup Atlanta booked our swanky lil’ abode to shoot a new Comcast Xfinity spot. The Chicago production team for Comcast flew in and we had a grand old time laughing ourselves silly and getting a lot of work done in a short amount of time. Who knew there were such nice people that far north of the Mason-Dixon line? But you know you can’t trust them-they think our roads are terrific! Please don’t let them talk to the Pothole Posse.
It was the perfect situation–we throw up a greenscreen backdrop–longways, no wait, shortways, no wait, longways, paint the floor green and bam! Magic happened! The boys from Chicago, and Becky too, brought in the new Canon C500 camera and made some pretty pictures. Creative was handled by Troy Brown and his group from MSL. We can’t wait to see the final product.
And oh yeah, it’s a good thing I have Comcast cable and internet here and at home!!!! Whew!
